Jharana Chamling CEO

Jharana Chamling began her career after completing her Master’s degree in Sociology as Director of the Shukhi Maya Foundation where she made significant contributions to programs for the development and welfare of children’s education.

She got inspired by Deep’s vision and passion of preserving and promoting Nepal’s rich socio-cultural diversity at the global platform while working on a joint project. And it was this common vision that led her to co-found HEC.

Jharana has been the Managing Director of HEC since its inception and has been instrumental in its growth and impact. She has helped many organizations and experts to conduct effective research and data collection, especially in the remote and rural areas of Nepal which are often difficult to reach and travel.

Her leadership is a testament to a strong commitment to community development, cultural preservation and the pursuit of knowledge through field-based research.
